Happy Houseboaters

"We had a great time on the Grand Sole. Our family reunion venue is one all of us will always cherish. We came from Wisconsin, Illinois, Tennessee and Texas. The trip was almost two years in the making and you and your staff made it worth the wait. I only wish it would have lasted longer. Next time we intend to win the trivia contest."
Best Wishes,  The "FHB" family

Autumn Wonder

Here are some highlights of this season in Voyageurs National Park when the subtle becomes the obvious.  The Common Loon of typically sharp black and white contrast turns a dull gray and congregates in large groups before leaving for open waters.  Maple trees become clothed in scarlet and aspen trees turn shades of gold.  In October, the needles of our unique tamarack trees (a deciduous conifer) turn    a "smoky" gold and fall to the ground before winter sets in.
