Walleye
season begins May 9th this year.
Northern pike and sauger open that day as
well. The weekend of opener is also
Mother's Day and Take a Mom fishing
weekend! Small mouth bass and large mouth
bass open May 23rd. Pictured here is a
great example of a northern pike caught by one
of our houseboat guests last May. "We
had a spectacular vacation. Thank you

5th-7th. Minnesota
residents can fish for free
(without a license) when
accompanying an angler under
the age of 16. Here at

you see that Voyagaire fishing
boat at the bottom of this
photo? One of our
houseboaters' favorite spots
to fish is at the base of
these fabulous cliffs in
Grassy Bay. These rock
faces, full of colorful Lac La
Croix granite are the tallest
points in Voyageurs National
Park. No where else can
you enjoy such amazing scenery
and great angling as here in
the Crane Lake area. |
